التعريف :
هي دائرة تعمل على بناء شبكة علاقات تعاونية وتكاملية، بما يعزز الصورة المشرقة للجامعة ومكانتها على كافة المستويات المحلية والعربية والعالمية كافة باستخدام أحدث أساليب الاتصالات، وتنظيم النشاطات الملائمة وتنسيقها.
الرؤية :
تعزيز مكانة الجامعة وإظهار صورتها المشرقة لدى المجتمع المحلي والإقليمي والدولي من خلال توسيع العلاقات التشابكية لها.
الرسالة :
إبراز هوية الجامعة والعمل على إظهارها بالصورة الملائمة وإعطاء فكرة واضحة عن أهدافها، ومقوماتها، وغاياتها، وإنجازاتها. والعمل على التواصل بشكل دؤوب ومستمر مع مؤسسات المجتمع المحلي والخارجي لخلق تعاون ايجابي، مستخدمة لتحقيق هذا التعاون التطورات التكنولوجية وفق منهج الجودة الشاملة.

العلاقات العامة تتبع بالهيكل التنظيمي الإدارة العليا بالجامعة وتحديدا مكتب رئيس الجامعة مباشرة .
أهداف العلاقات العامة :
1. رعاية العلاقات الإنسانية السليمة في المجتمع، وكسب ود الجماهير، وضمان التفاهم بين المؤسسات الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والتعليمية من جهة ... وبين الجماهير من جهة أخرى.
2.الأداة الضرورية لخلق العلاقات الحضارية المؤثرة بين المؤسسات وضمان استمرارها.
أهمية العلاقات العامة :
تنظيم العلاقات الإنسانية على أسس من التعاون والانسجام وضمان التفاهم بين المؤسسات بمختلف أنشطتها الثقافية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية من جهة والجمهور من جهة أخرى ... وذلك لإقامة علاقات ودية سليمة بين الجمهور وكل منظمة على اختلاف أنواعها .
مدى الحاجة للعلاقات العامة :
العلاقات العامة كنشاط واتصالات يمكن أن تكون خارجية أو داخلية، فالعلاقات الخارجية تستهدف الجمهور الخارجي بالبيئة الخارجية .... أما العلاقات الداخلية تستهدف العاملين داخل المؤسسة، وتشترك العلاقات الخارجية مع العلاقات الداخلية في ضرورة العمل على كسب ود الجمهور الذي تتعامل معه والحصول على تأييده لسياساتها واستراتيجياتها وذلك كله بإعلامه الإعلام الصادق والحقيقي.
